I didn't realise until recently there was a name for the interior style that I gravitated towards... it's called "Palm Beach Chic". It encompasses everything from preppy to tropical, hollywood regency to chinoiserie and is a style that encompasses glamour and vibrant hues whilst never looking too stuck up or contrived.
The best way to explain the key components of "Palm Beach Chic" is with pictures so here we go...
Today we'll just cover some of the more popular colour elements: Navy, kelly green, pink, coral & turquoise.
You'll notice below, that pairing Kelly Green & Pink is huge in Palm Beach Chic interiors...
This Bedhead featuring the very pricey Christopher Farr fabric is stunning. I've announced to my husband that he needs to brace himself for a bedroom makeover inspired by this pic! I was struck down with a dismissive stare... whatever... I'll find a way!
This space was designed by Parker Kennedy Living
... I have no words! As Rachel Zoe would say... "I die"...
Lilly Pulitzer hitting a home run with this space. I just can't get enough of how the colour & pattern clash works so well... My husband disagrees... no surprises there I suppose!
Our Raspberry Moroccan Trellis Rug featured in Adore Mag. This was taken in Anna Caldwell's home. You can check out her blog over here
Love the fretwork detail in this space. I do have a thing for fretwork...
Another Space by Parker & Kennedy featuring the colourway "Jade" from the legendary Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon fabric.
A fab example of how Palm Beach Chic does preppy. Love it!
